VR Tour For Std. 7 Ch. 16: Water: A Precious Resource
What's Included in Virtual tour of this chapter
The water covers 71% of the surface of the earth. 97% of the earth’s water is found in the oceans. Only 0.006% of freshwater is easily available for human consumption. The water cycle is divided into 4 stages. They are evaporation, transpiration, condensation, and precipitation. The water cycle maintains the amount of water on earth.

Virtual tour 1: Availability of water on earth
In this virtual tour activity, we will explore the various resources of water on earth are seas, oceans, rivers, lakes, glaciers, ice caps, groundwater, and vapor in the atmosphere. Glaciers melt and result in increasing sea levels.

Virtual tour 2: Water cycle: An Overview
During the day, the sun heats up the ocean surface, causing water to evaporate. This vapor rises up in the atmosphere and condenses to form tiny water droplets that form the cloud. This process is called condensation. The water from this cloud falls on the ground as rain. This process is repeated infinitely, which is called the water cycle.

Virtual tour 3: Underground water: Storage and use
Do you know that there is a source of water in the ground? Groundwater is found underground in the cracks and spaces in the soil. Groundwater is stored as an underground river, known as an aquifer.
