The shoot is made up of stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits. Each plant has different parts and each part of the plant has a definite task to do.

Plants are the production factories of oxygen on the Earth. Plants have various parts that have different functions. In this virtual tour, we will learn about the parts of a plant and their functions. We will begin from the lowermost part which is the root and what function does root play in a plant’s life cycle. Roots of a plant absorb the water and nutrients from the soil and provide it to the plant for food production.

In this virtual tour, we will understand how water is absorbed and transported in plants. The stem is the backbone of a plant. It transports food, water, and minerals all over the plant’s body.

Leaf or we can better say, the kitchen of the plant is one of the most important parts of the plant. Leaf absorbs the sunlight, CO2, and minerals to manufacture food through the process of photosynthesis. Leaves in return release oxygen which is important for existence for humans.

Flowers are attractive and appear in different colors and shapes to attract pollinators like insects, butterflies, etc who help in pollen transfer.
