Introduction

Anganwadi centers play a crucial role in promoting early childhood development and providing essential services to children in rural areas. This case study focuses on the Anganwadi center located in Shramjivi Anganwadi, highlighting its structure, activities, challenges, and impact on the community.

This case study explores the impact of Foton VR (Virtual Reality) technology on child development in the Anganwadi center of Shramjivi. By providing virtual reality experiences, this innovative approach aims to enhance early childhood education and promote holistic development among children attending the center.

Background

Shramjivi Anganwadi is a government-run Anganwadi located in a rural area of Patan, Gujarat, India. The Anganwadi Center in Shramjivi plays a vital role in addressing the educational and developmental needs of children below the age of six.
The Anganwadi serves a community of about 500 families, and the majority of the children who attend the Anganwadi come from families of migrant workers.

The challenges faced by the children at Anganwadi have a number of negative consequences. These children are more likely to drop out of school. So we help them through VR Technology.

What is VR Technology? How it is Helpful in education?

Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that allows users to interact with a computer-generated environment. It provides users with a 360-degree view of the virtual environment. VR can be used for a variety of purposes, including entertainment, gaming, and education.

VR is helpful in education because it can provide students with immersive and engaging experiences that can help them learn in new and effective ways. For example, VR can be used to take students on virtual field trips to different places around the world or simulate real-world experiences. VR can also be used to create interactive learning experiences that allow students to explore and learn at their own pace.

How VR was used to help the children at Shramjivi Anganwadi

The team of Foton VR, Himani Patel, and Vipul Panchal, visited an Anganwadi in Patan, Gujarat, India in July 2023. The team took children on different educational virtual tours. The team of FotonVR was very happy to see the children’s reaction and was glad that they were able to bring a smile to their faces.

The demonstration that they gave to the children was of a virtual jungle. The children were able to walk around the jungle and interact with the animals. The children were very engaged in the demo and were eager to learn more about VR technology.

As the VR experience drew to a close, the children were left with unforgettable memories etched in their hearts. The discussions that followed were filled with animated chatter as they excitedly shared their favorite moments, their voices brimming with enthusiasm and excitement. The impact of this experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on their young minds, fostering a lifelong curiosity and love for exploration.

The team of FotonVR believes that VR has the potential to be a powerful tool for kid education. They are excited to continue developing VR content that can be used to teach children of pre-school in a fun and engaging way.

The team of Foton VR is committed to using VR to make education more accessible and engaging for children. They believe that VR has the potential to revolutionize the way that children learn.
